The Coup, A Narrative, 2026.
Mary Mann is both a part of me and a separate entity. She is a vessel through which I explore the dialogue between my conscious and subconscious mind. This narrative unfolds as an internal conversation, where opposing voices unsettle one another. While the visual language draws from the softness and familiarity of a children’s storybook, its undertones reveal a more complex psychological domain shaped by indecision, persistent mental noise, and an ongoing tension between competing selves. In this space, the subconscious is not submissive but autonomous, suggesting a damaged yet intimate relationship with the self.
The inner conflict is not something to resolve, but something to observe, inhabit and understand.
